Grandma Francie

My grandma Frances Marie Agnew passed away on October 26th. She was a strong woman and liked to do and say things in her own time and way. She was a very proud, supportive grandmother and rarely missed one of my soccer games or track meets in high school. She loved to spoil her grandchildren by keeping a stock of treats like lemon drops and circus peanuts. In my opinion, her best dishes were meatloaf and pot roast... it smelled so good in her kitchen! She loved mystery novels and tv shows like Murder She Wrote and Perry Mason. One of my favorite exclamations of hers was "Heavens to Betsy to Mergatroid" ... I don't even know what it means but it makes me smile when I say it! With the birth of my daughter two weeks ago and the passing of Grandma Francie, I have a renewed perspective on the cyclical nature of life. As my Auntie said "one angel leaves us and and one angel arrives." I love my grammy and will miss her!

Our Girl

McKenna has been quite a fun addition to our family. Her labor was pretty mild and with her arrival at 11am we were able to take a nap before we had visitors. It all went perfectly. Last night she didn't seem real interested in sleeping, but slept the day away today! Micah has been a great big brother so far and is very kind, loving and interested in his tiny little sis.

Patiently Waiting...

No signs of labor yet! Micah was 4 days early and I kinda figured this baby would follow the trend. Everything is going great, though. The last few days have been relaxing. ... oh and in other news we got our offer accepted on a house! We will be moving end of November or start of December.
